If you're looking for a part time job this holiday season you're in luck. Economists have said that the seasonal hiring rate hasn't been this good since 2007, with prodigious retailers like Wal-Mart, Macy's and Target hiring a record number of up to seven hundred thousand employees. Holiday jobs vary from part-time to full-time and begin opening up as early as the beginning of November in preparation for Black Friday. In addition to providing professional opportunities for good pay, these holiday hiring increases are also a colossal boost to our economy.

Boston Public Radio's Emily Rooney speaks with Babson College lecturer Caroline Daniels who specializes in market trends.  We'd like to hear from you.
