Rum runners and bathtub gin are distant memories of a bygone era, but some Prohibition laws stayed on the books well after the Twenty-First Amendment was passed.

In the past decade, Massachusetts finally relaxed restrictions on spirits. We're seeing a rebirth of luxury liquors as small distilleries pop up all over the Bay State. Everything from fiery vodkas to floral gins have been made new again, and we're not talking about Old Mr. Boston.

Today we talk with two craft liquor distillers about how they got their start, and how they're capitalizing on the recent surge in interest for cocktails - led in part by the Mad Men effect.

Spencer McMinn, co-founder of Grand Ten Distilling in South Boston.
