North Quincy High School has earned the title of High School Quiz Show® State Champion after an impressive run on Boston public media producer GBH’s academic quiz show’s 13th season. In an exhilarating championship showdown, North Quincy took on Andover High School in the season finale, which aired on May 21, 2022. North Quincy defeated Andover with a final score of 1120 to 980.

GBH News has won seven regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, including the Overall Excellence award for the third consecutive year. The multiplatform news outlet was also recognized for its investigative series, “Unseen: The Boy Victims of the Sex Trade,” which won the categories of Investigative Reporting, Excellence in Writing and the outlet’s second consecutive win in the category of Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. GBH News was also honored in the Excellence in Innovation category for the accessible photo essay, “Breaking Barriers - Photos from Michelle Wu’s Boston Victory” and won the categories of Feature Reporting and Sports Reporting.

BOSTON, May 17, 2022 - GBH Kids and The Magic House today announced the opening of “Molly of Denali: An Alaskan Adventure,” an interactive traveling exhibit and life-size replica of the fictional village of Qyah, from the award-winning PBS KIDS animated series MOLLY OF DENALI®. Debuting in St. Louis to coincide with the opening of the Association of Children’s Museum’s annual conference, it’s an opportunity for children’s museums across the United States to bring the exhibit to their local community, offering children the chance to experience life in an Alaska Native village right in their own backyards.

April 28, 2022 - BOSTON - The PBS investigative documentary series FRONTLINE announced today that it has hired filmmaker Nina Chaudry and longtime journalist Erin Texeira to join the series’ senior editorial team.

Boston public media producer GBH has been honored with 13 New England Emmy® Award nominations in the lead up to the 45th Annual Boston/New England Emmy® Awards. The nominations are given by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Boston/New England Chapter, which is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television, the fostering of creative leadership in the television industry, and the encouragement of excellence in artistic, educational, cultural and technical progress.
