Boston, Mass. (Jan. 15, 2026) – GBH today announced that Tracy Chang, the acclaimed chef and owner of Cambridge restaurant PAGU, will join the weekly community conversation series GBH Amplifies as its fourth host. Chang, whose leadership extends from the kitchen to community advocacy, will make her hosting debut at the GBH Studio at the Boston Public Library on Thursday, January 29.

A two-time James Beard “Best Chef: Northeast” semifinalist, Chang is widely recognized for her commitment to social impact, having participated in the James Beard Foundation’s Bootcamp for Policy & Change. PAGU was recently recognized in the inaugural Boston Michelin Guide, where it was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

In GBH Amplifies, rotating hosts from local media and community organizations invite artists, activists, and other local leaders making an impact in the Greater Boston area to participate in a lively discussion in front of a live audience. The conversations address a wide range of topics, from cultural trends to local politics.

“I’m excited to feature community members who have been on the ground doing the work and give them the mic to share their stories,” said Chang. “These are conversations I’ve had over food for years, and it feels meaningful to bring them to GBH, to a live audience, where we can share food, and enable others with concrete ways to take action.”

As leader in the culinary space, Chang will discuss food and showcase prepared recipes as part of her GBH Amplifies conversations. Chang joins other distinguished local leaders hosting the series this season, which runs weekly on Thursdays from 12:30-1:30 p.m. through June at the GBH Studio at the Boston Public Library. They include:

  • First Thursday of the month: James 'Jimmy’ Hills, host of Java with Jimmy
  • Second Thursday of the month: Ron Mitchell, Publisher and Editor of The Bay State Banner
  • Third Thursday of the month: Alberto Vasallo III, President and CEO of El Mundo Boston
  • Fourth Thursday of the month: Tracy Chang, Chef/Owner of Pagu

The events are free and open to the public.

“Tracy Chang represents the best of Boston - innovative, community-minded, and deeply connected to the pulse of our neighborhoods,” said GBH Director of Community and Government Relations Sandra López Burke. “By bringing her voice to GBH Amplifies, we are expanding the table for meaningful dialogue on the issues that shape our city.”

Full GBH Amplifies conversations are available to stream afterward at the GBH in the Community YouTube channel.
