Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.
Today’s mural features a painting by Dr. Dawn Freeland. This “magical wishing tree” was intuitively created with a variety of color, texture, and sparkles to induce positive emotions and a sense of wonder. This painting includes fairies catching and fulfilling sparkling wishes to those who believe and have hope.
“My intention for this painting is for it to be visually pleasing to those who see it and feel a sense of calm,” Freeland says.
