Today’s mural, Swans in the Garden by Patricia McCarthy, reflects the tranquility and enjoyment found in the Boston Public Garden. On a sunny day in late summer, the color of the trees, the pond reflections, and the surrounding buildings provide a picturesque setting.
“Children and adults have enjoyed the ducklings and swan boats for many years,” McCarthy says, “The garden is a gem in the middle of a busy city.”
McCarthy was introduced to painting at an early age by her grandmother. She continued to paint and expand her art education throughout a career in healthcare. Over the past few years, she has studied with renowned Gloucester artist, David P. Curtis, and Rockport artist, Caleb Stone.
