Today’s mural features a painting by Steven J. Cabral. His art explores the dynamic balance between structure and spontaneity – between order and chaos. Through a combination of geometric and organic forms, he merges sharp lines with soft edges, layering color, texture, and composition to convey the raw energy of the creative process.
“I see painting as a dialogue between control and intuition, where each decision reflects both intention and discovery,” Cabral says. “By working with both precise, calculated patterns and more fluid, abstract gestures, I allow the work to evolve naturally, embracing unexpected turns along the way.”
Cabral is a Boston-based painter. His paintings have been exhibited in numerous galleries, including Mtn Space Gallery, Kingston Gallery, and The Painting Center. Cabral earned his B.F.A. in Painting from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and his M.F.A. from Lesley University College of Art and Design.
