Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.
Today’s mural is a painting titled In the Glow of Her World by Morgan Pietrorazio.
“Occasionally in my work, I gravitate towards interests that others might label 'playful’, as places of respite, where I can be myself and explore, aiding an escape from reality, and reigniting my connection with my inner child,” she says.
Incorporating found objects from thrift stores, Pietrorazio occasionally finds something that reignites a spark of childhood wonder, arranges these items into more 'adult’ compositions, blending whimsy with sophistication and creating a statement around finding balance amid struggle.
