Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.
Today’s mural, Ripples in Time and Space by Crissie Murphy, is a painting of lily pads in a pond. The stillness of the water contrasts with the ever-changing reflections, while the lily pads – floating yet rooted – symbolize resilience and balance.
“Each brushstroke is an observation of nature’s delicate harmony, a meditation on the spaces between light and dark, fluidity and form,” Murphy says. “For me, this piece is more than a study of nature – it is an invitation to pause, to look closer, and to find a sense of calm within the the world.”
Murphy is an artist that specializes in graphic design, sculpture, and painting.
