Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.
Today’s mural features a flower arrangement by Susie Margolin. Using locally-grown blooms and foraged elements, she connects intimately with every design.
“My 'floral sculptures’ are an invitation to slow down and embrace transformation,” Margolin says. “Sustainable floristry finds beauty in everyday objects and nature’s life cycle. As a design process, it encourages us to see the world in a new way that honors relationships and helps our planet.”
Margolin is the owner of Lotus & Lettuce, a sustainable floral business and an artistic response to climate change.
