Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.
Today’s mural, a painting by Julia Covelle, celebrates Boston’s vibrant and diverse community, highlighting the intricate connections that make the city unique.
“This piece is a celebration of the city as a living, breathing tapestry – woven together by its people, each playing an essential part in its vibrant story,” Covelle says.
Covelle is an artist based in Greater Boston whose work plays with themes of time, perception, and social construction. She has a bachelor’s degree in visual arts and sociology from the College of the Holy Cross and has shown work publicly throughout Worcester, Boston, Somerville, and Barcelona.
