Today’s mural showcases the Boston Press Photographers Association (BPPA) annual Pictures of the Year Exhibit. The exhibit is now on view until June 22 at Boston City Hall Plaza.

The BPPA, the nation’s oldest press and television photographers’ association, is committed to advancing journalism through the power of photography. Now in its fifth year, this exhibit, supported by GBH, offers a striking visual record of the moments and stories that have shaped our communities over the past year. It’s a unique public installation that highlights how local photojournalism can illuminate issues, build connections, and transform shared spaces.

Join us on Monday, June 16, at City Hall Plaza for a special guided tour of the exhibit. BPPA President and Boston Globe photographer Jessica Rinaldi and BPPA Board Member and GBH Photo Director Meredith Nierman, will lead a tour and discussion alongside several of the honored photographers, offering behind-the-scenes insights into their work and the importance of photojournalism.
