Community Canvas is an initiative presented by The Culture Show where GBH features artwork from community members on our Digital Mural.
Today’s mural features the painting High Tide by Kathleen Dunn. She looks to the natural world to express the spirit of place. Color is the prominent force in her minimalist style. Residing on this scenic coast is an influence as well.
“I enjoy discovering off the beaten paths that inspire me to paint,” Dunn says. “A walk to the end of a road, with the adventure of en plein air painting, leads to discoveries of new views and moments in the landscape.”
Dunn is a contemporary landscape painter in the historic dune shacks of Provincetown.
