We hear a lot of talk about self-driving cars coming to Boston. They are frequently seen in San Francisco, and commonly used on ride-sharing apps. Now this technology is setting its sights on operating locally. There are currently two bills in the Massachusetts State House proposing a regulatory framework for the entry of self-driving cars into the Commonwealth.

In this talk, GBH News reporter Jeremy Siegel moderates a talk with Transportation for MA, asking what, exactly, autonomous vehicles are and if they are safe. An expert panel will discuss how self-driving cars will impact a city like Boston, where streets notoriously avoid a grid organization, and congestion is among the worst in the country.

Join us in person at the Boston Public Library studio space and bring your own questions and experiences with self-driving cars. We want to hear from you!
