Across pop culture and sports, there’s a resurgence of posthumus recognition for Jean-Michel Basquiat, the graffiti artist turned Manhattan art scene sensation. The work of the Afro-Latino artist and his influence on today’s hip hop culture is highlighted in a new exhibition at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts called “Writing the Future: Jean-Michel Basquiat and the Hip Hop Generation.”
