Naturalist Sy Montgomery joined Boston Public Radio on Tuesday to discuss her latest book, "Condor Comeback," in which she tells the story of the California condor, a bird whose population is on the rise again thanks to an ongoing conservation effort that brought the bird back from being declared officially extinct in the wild in the 1980s.
"They just look so wise, they look like wise shamans or magicians. You just look into their face and you see someone who knows a great deal," she said of the birds.
Montgomery is a journalist, naturalist and a BPR contributor. Her latest book is " Condor Comeback."
