In a recent recording for NPR Music Live Sessions, Say Girl Say Perform 'Let My Hair Down' during HPM's Skyline Sessions in Houston, Texas.
Say Girl Say is a multi-instrumental, indie pop duo from Houston, Texas composed of members Brigette Yawn and Suad Ihsan. The band formed in 2012 in what started out as a new friendship grew into a local staple at open mic nights and local bars, eventually becoming crucial acts for events within Houston's underground artist community.
The band's first release, self-titled "Say Girl Say", came out to local acclaim in May of 2015, earning accolades such as "Best Alternative Act" and "Most Weird Act" from the Houston Press Music Awards '15-'16. Since then they've performed at SXSW, CMJ, Art Outside, In Bloom, Houston Whatever Fest, River Revival, and many others.
