Our Spaces

Calderwood Studio

Our 4,500 square-foot, active television studio featuers a 21-foot-high lighting grid, offering incredible visual opportunities for up to 250 seated guests, 400 audience-style, or 400 standing guests. Combine this space with the Atrium for a buffet or cocktail area for up to 500 guests. This black-box type space presents you with a world of opportunities.

Yawkey Atrium

Our 3,560 square-foot atrium is eminently adaptable and stylish, hosting up to 200 seated guests or 280 standing guests. Windows 24-feet high to the ceiling, flanked by textured metal walls. Complete with television studio level lighting, a 16’W x 9’H projection screen, audio system, and an overhead glass footbridge perfect for photographs.

Yawkey Theater

The theater's egg-shaped exterior offers truly unique elements for your celebration. This theater offers 200 seats with a superb audio-visual system (including 4k video projection, 25'W x 14'H projection screen, and surround sound with Dolby E deconding). Need to record or livestream? No problem. This space is outfitted with 4 HD remote cameras.

Fraser Performance Studio

This 1,768 square-foot recording studio with a 28-foot-high ceiling offers a unique and intimate space for your event with a stunning backdrop. Host up to 80 seated guests or 150 standing guests.

Rates & Amenities

RATES

Our facilities are packaged together, offering competitive rates.

Yawkey Atrium & Theater Package
— Facility Fee: $5,000
— Hard Costs: $1,500 - $4,000+ (estimated, will be based on needs of event)

Calderwood Studio + Yawkey Atrium/Theater Package
— Facility Fee: $10,500
— Hard Costs: $5,000 - $13,000+ (estimated, will be based on needs of event)

FEES

GBH has two types of costs:

Facility Fee: Rental fee for the use of the agreed upon space(s). This invoice is issued after the contract is signed and executed. The invoice should be paid within 60 days of receipt (or prior to the date of the event, whichever comes first) 

Hard Costs: Cost for labor to support the event (such as: security, cleaning staff, audio/visual engineers, etc). Based on needs of specific event. This invoice is issued after the event.

We have an incredible lists of approved caterers that you can work with that specialize in various cuisine and price points. Because you'll be working with your choice of caterer directly, there are no food and beverage minimums to consider with our venue.

We are thrilled to offer FREE PARKING to all of your guests during your event in our parking garage right next door at 15 Guest Street.

All guests will be able to validate their parking right when they enter the venue.

We work with some of the best of the best in public media. Our production team is top notch, and they are well-experienced when it comes to events, production shoots, and more. They are available to work with you on your audio/visual needs. Or, want to work with an outside vendor? No problem. We're flexible.

We offer a wide selection of in-house equipment — including LED video walls, monitors, microphones, and cameras — available at competitive rates. With everything on-site and expertly maintained, you’ll get high-quality production support without the hassle or cost of sourcing from outside vendors.

From your initial site visit to the day of your event, you’ll work directly with one of our experienced Event Producers. They know the space inside and out and will be there to help coordinate logistics, answer questions, and ensure everything runs smoothly.

As a nonprofit organization ourselves, we understand the planning, care, and resources it takes to bring your vision to life through. That’s why we’re proud to offer a 20% discount on facility fees for fellow nonprofit organizations.
