Two state Senate candidates backed by the mayor lost last week and another seems headed for defeat.

Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell supports expanding the state’s public records law and changing voter registration so that people can register and vote at poll sites on Election Day.

Kevin Hayden is running for reelection for his second first full term. He was appointed to the position in 2022, before running for the seat officially later that year.

Mike Minogue, a Republican candidate for governor, says that he wants to make Massachusetts a place people can stay and raise families like his.

Mayor Michelle Wu said Wednesday that the city must “make sure that there are standards for children not to be directly targeted by algorithms that prioritize endless scrolling.”

The president is refusing to sign the bill until Congress passes a voter ID law he wants.
