Over the past fifteen years, Suzanne Dubus has earned a national reputation for effective, innovative, and community-based domestic violence services. A domestic violence survivor, Suzanne rose above abuse in her own life to help at-risk individuals and families, as well as influence social change in her community. Author of Red Tide, a play about teen dating violence, she reached over 100,000 high school and college students and raised over $130,000 for Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center. She currently serves as a Board Member of Jane Doe Inc. and co-chairs the Promising Practices subcommittee of the Governor’s Council on Sexual and Domestic Violence. Her past memberships and board roles include Partnership for Peace, River Valley Charter School, Governor’s Subcommittee: Children’s Working Group and Newburyport Leadership Institute as well as various mayoral commissions.
