Ramzi Naja

architect, educator, researcher

Ramzi is an architect, researcher, and educator based in Boston, Massachusetts and Beirut, Lebanon. He recently earned his Masters in Architecture degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, where he was also a teaching assistant, research assistant, and instructor for a course on architecture and nation building. Prior to pursuing his Masters, Ramzi graduated from the Lebanese American University in 2013, earning a professional degree in architecture with distinction and receiving the Torch Award for exemplary leadership. He has also practiced, working mostly at Polypod, a multidisciplinary studio based in Beirut. Ramzi has curated a number of exhibitions and installations and organized a series of conferences at Harvard. His graduate thesis tackled questions of territory within the Syrian context, dissecting the relationship between geopolitics and architecture. His undergraduate thesis tackled issues of reurbanization, infrastructure, and socio-politics within Beirut.
