Patrick Sylvain is a Haitian Language Instructor at Brown University and a Language Coach at Harvard. He received his Masters in Education from Harvard in 1998. He has been published in numerous anthologies and journals, including: *African American Review*, *Agni*, *American Poetry Anthology*, *American Poetry Review*, *The Best of Beacon*, *1999*, *The Butterfly's Way*, *Callaloo*, *Caribbean Writers*, *Confrontation*, *Crab Orchard Review*, *Haitian Times*, *Massachusetts Review*, *The Oxford Book of Caribbean Verse*, and *Ploughshares*.
