Mary R. Lauby

A national leader of the movement to end violence against women, Mary Lauby has been the executive director of the Massachusetts statewide coalition since January 2005. Under her leadership Jane Doe Inc. has expanded its capacity to provide support and assistance to its sixty-plus member organizations, successfully advocated for budget and policy initiatives at the state and federal level, launched a campaign to engage men and boys in primary prevention, and engaged stakeholders in changing policy and practice to both predict and prevent domestic violence homicides. Lauby has served on the board of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, the Governor’s Council on Sexual and Domestic Violence and other state and national organizations.
