Andrew has spent over two decades studying human–carnivore conflict across Africa, working with African wild dogs, lions, leopards, and hyenas in Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. Since his first leopard study in 2001, Andrew has become a leader in leopard conservation, completing his PhD in Namibia, leading the global leopard assessment for the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List, and advancing non-lethal solutions to reduce lion–livestock conflict in Botswana. His work has been widely published, featured on National Geographic and BBC, and informed by his roles with the IUCN Cat Specialist Group and Asian Leopard Specialist Society.
