Running Massachusetts’ Republican Party tends to be a pretty thankless job. But at the moment, Kirsten Hughes is an exception to that rule. Her first term as party chairman ended with the GOP regaining the corner office thanks to Charlie Baker's victory and picking up seats in the Massachusetts House and Senate. While her first run for party chair was a nail-biter, she was easily re-elected last week, after running unopposed.
