You’ll be forgiven if you don’t know that it’s the secretary of state. William Galvin has held the office for 24 years, successfully fending off the occasional challenger. But, Galvin will not celebrate his 25th anniversary in the role if Anthony Amore, head of security at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, or Josh Zakim, Democrat Boston City Councilor, have anything to do with it.
