Former federal prosecutor Christopher Wray, President Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI director, will testify Wednesday, July 12 in a confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Just two months ago, Trump fired former FBI director James Comey, a career prosecutor who had led the bureau since September 2013, and on June 8, Comey testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee as part of its ongoing investigation into Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 U.S. elections.
