What began as a night of hope, ended in despair. Graduates converged on the Wellesley campus Tuesday night anticipating the presidential victory of the school's most famous living graduate, Hillary Clinton, class of '69. Not only was this to have been a moment to salute the sorority of educated women. It also was to be a celebration – at one of the nation's most distinguished women's college – of the first woman to be elected president. It was not to be.
