The rogues gallery of political know-it-alls and know-nothings that took to social media Thursday night to comment on the heated Democratic debate wasn’t nearly as worked up about it as the candidates themselves.
A simple request a few hours before the debate began to gauge who in the local political world would be watching was greeted with comments such as:
“The what dewhat now?”
“If I wanted to watch liberal people agree with each other I would watch a tape of my mom and I eating dinner,” says former State House staffer Laura Wentworth.
“ I don’t have cable.”
“Maybe. Is Trump going to be on this one?”
“ Wait there’s one tonight??”
One Republican on Facebook said he would at least watch the first few minutes.
Former Mass. Transportation Secretary Jim Aloisi knew the secret to surviving the debate: drinking game.
And so, so, so much about the Bruce Springsteen show at the Garden.
That Springsteen show was actually far more important that some may have realized. Several tweeters and facebooker-eenos spotted Gov. Charlie Baker and his wife Lauren rocking out to the Boss. Nick Pizzolato on Instagram caught Baker doing whatever it is people do at Springsteen concerts. Baker wasn’t the only governor in attendance, as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was also reportedly at the Garden, taking time off from his flagging New Hampshire primary campaign because he basically stalks Bruce Springsteen around the country.
Perhaps Baker busted out his favorite air guitar moves?
