WGBH will broadcast a debate for the U.S. Senate special election on Wednesday, March 27, produced by The Boston Media Consortium.
The Democratic candidates, U.S. Rep. Ed Markey and U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch, have agreed to debate, while the Republican candidates, state Rep. Dan Winslow, former U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan and businessman Gabriel Gomez, have not yet responded to invitations to the debate.
The debate will be produced at WCVB-TV’s studio in Needham and will air live at 7pm. The consortium is comprised of WGBH-TV, NECN, WCVB-TV, WHDH-TV, WGBH Radio, WBUR Radio, and Bloomberg Radio.
