Only two Democratic contenders have announced a run for the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by John Kerry: U.S. Representatives Stephen Lynch and Ed Markey. We know Republicans Scott Brown, Bill Weld, and Richard Tisei are out, and we haven’t heard from any other Republicans yet- though lots of names have been  tossed around.

Congressman Lynch stopped by the Boston Public Radio studios and spoke with Emily Rooney about how he differs from Congressman Markey, whether he can win without the key liberal base that helped Elizabeth Warren capture her Senate seat, and politicking in Washington, D.C.
