Last week was a whirlwind of political news, from Pres. Obama's inauguration to Sec. Clinton and Sen. Kerry's separate Senate testimonies. This week is equally hectic. Monday we heard from a bipartisan group of senators about comprehensive immigration reform. Sen. John Kerry is expected to be sworn in as Secretary of State Tuesday. And gun safety is up for review on Wednesday.

If Kerry's confirmed, we'll get official announcements from candidates for his seat — that means you, Stephen Lynch. In or out? — for a special election to be held June 25th.

Finally, politicos look to Tuesday night as a potential return-to-form for Mayor Menino as he gives his State of the City speech at 7 PM.
