We now have two more Obama cabinet nominees — former Sen. Chuck Hagel for Sec. of Defense, and counterterrorism expert John Brennan as possible head of the CIA. The two will face confirmation hearings in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the Boston city council will vote on its next president today. The odds-on favorite is Stephen Murphy, who already has two terms under his belt. Murphy may be in line for a different job though — the recently-vacated Suffolk County Sheriff position — which would change the dynamic of the council.
