It’s been a wild start to 2013. Washington careened over the fiscal cliff but still hammered out a mid-plummet agreement. On Thursday, Elizabeth Warren became the first Massachusetts woman to serve in the Senate. Joseph Kennedy III was also sworn in.
Thursday also marked Rep. Barney Frank’s last day on the job, but he promptly told media outlets on Friday he’s requested to be appointed interim senator for Massachusetts. Ed Markey have both expressed more than a passing interest in being his permanent replacement.
Joanna Weiss, Dave Wedge and Jack Sullivan joined Emily Rooney to talk about all this.
