Tough news today about yet another abuse scandal and coverup. First it was the Catholic Church, then Penn State, now the Boy Scouts of America have been forced to open up their so-called “perversion files” — a long list of leaders from 1965 to 1985 suspected of abusing young scouts. Forty-five people in Massachusetts were named, more in the greater New England area.

Meanwhile, Thursday night John Tierney and challenger Richard Tisei stared each other down for a tense twenty-five minutes. Sparks flew as the two lit into each other, and in this debate at least, illegal gambling did come up.
