This year’s presidential race is going to be a close one, and thanks to Citizens United, the money that’s being poured into this race is really upping the ante. In the end, of course, it’s the voters who have the final say. But across the country, state laws have recently been passed that could keep hundreds of thousands of voters from voting. And, if this seems too abstract, think about how you’ll feel if you show up at the polls this November only to be turned away — either because your polling place is closed or you don’t have the right ID. These are just some of the realities of voter suppression.
