Keeping up with our motto, tonight's show looked at both Cape Cod and the Berkshires.
First, we spoke with State Sen. Eric Lesser, who represents nine communities in the Western half of the state. Earlier this month, Gov. Charlie Baker announced eight free coronavirus testing sites in eight cities around the commonwealth. Not one of the sites was west of Worcester. Lesser calls the oversight not matching the data that shows just how hard hit the region has been.
Then, we heard how one Cape Cod hotel — the Inn at the Oaks in Eastham — is doing since reopening for the season in June. Inn keeper Melody Edson and her husband bought the Inn 14 months ago, after years of dreaming of owning one in their retirement.
