Senate Republicans have revealed their plan to do away with the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. The proposal would repeal the individual mandate to buy healthcare and cut Medicaid – although at a much slower rate than proposed in the House bill. It would also eliminate nearly all of the taxes put in place under Obama’s signature healthcare law, cut Planned Parenthood funding for one year and it would give states more freedom to decide which benefits to cover.
