Two men are being held without bail in connection with a brazen daylight shooting near a Boston high school that left a 17-year-old student dead.
Authorities said 23-year-old Jonathan Aguasvivas and 24-year-old Benzy Bain, both of Boston, were arraigned Wednesday.
They’re charged with murder in the June 8 shooting death of Raekwon Brown, a junior at Jeremiah Burke High School in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood. Three others were injured in the shooting and treated for minor injuries.
Police say video footage and other evidence including witness statements led to the identification of the defendants. Police didn’t release further details, citing the ongoing investigation.
The men are due back in court July 26.
Aguasvivas’ attorney didn’t immediately return a message seeking comment Wednesday, while the number for Bain’s attorney rang unanswered.
