Yesterday, Wynn Resorts halted a scheduled environmental cleanup of the site slated to be a new casino complex in Everett—until, that is, the project was put on hold indefinitely last month after a permit was challenged by Somerville Major Joe Curtatone.

In other words: betting on the future of the Everett casino seems like quite a gamble at this point.
