The two teens accused of gunning down another teen while he was riding his bicycle are expected to appear in court.
Dushawn Taylor-Gennis, 16, of Dorchester, and a 14-year old juvenile whose name police are not yet releasing are to be arraigned Monday in Dorchester Municipal Court.
They face murder and firearms offenses related to the killing of Jonathan Dos Santos, 16, on Wednesday night in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.
Police say the victim and suspects knew each other but the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
The Boston Globe has reported Dos Santos confided to a basketball coach recently that other teens were pressuring him to join a gang.
Under Massachusetts law, juveniles charged with murder could face the same penalties as adults and their cases are public.
