Boston Marathon suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's lead attorney has a record of saving those accused of horrific crimes from death row.
Judy Clarke's clients have included Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, Atlanta Olympics bomber Eric Rudolph and Arizona shooter Jared Lee Loughner, who shot congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and killed six people in 2011.
Clarke saved all of them from the death penalty and hopes to do the same for Tsarnaev, the man accused of bombing the marathon in 2013. Three people were killed and more than 260 were injured when twin bombs exploded near the finish line.
Clarke is among a team of lawyers defending Tsarnaev. Jury selection in Tsarnaev's trial began Jan. 5.
