Boston 2024, the group planning a 2024 Summer Olympics in Boston, released documents related to its bid Wednesday, withholding "proprietary" financial information from media.

Boston 2024 re-enacted the presentation that won over the U.S. Olympic Committee Board in December. It was the first time the media has had access to documents and details of their plans. What was useful were the maps and graphics, rendering the Olympic Village downtown and needed infrastructure improvements.

Boston 2024 president Dan O’Connell said his group is still nailing down venue proposals for the final application to the International Olympic Committee.

“What has been removed from the materials is specific financial items. Not the overall budget, we’re giving you that, the revenues and expenses for the operations of the games,” he told reporters.

O'Connell declined to comment on the significance of a ballot referendum, or public opposition to hosting the Olympics.
