Former Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has won his Republican primary in New Hampshire, advancing his attempt to get back to the Senate from another state.
Brown faced two serious primary challenges Tuesday but was the front-runner from the start. He'll face Democratic first-term U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (jeen shuh-HEEN') in November.
If successful, Brown would become only the third U.S. senator to serve multiple states. He representedMassachusetts after winning a 2010 special election for the late Democrat Ted Kennedy's seat. But he lost to Democrat Elizabeth Warren in 2012 and moved last year to New Hampshire, where he had a vacation home and lived as a toddler.
New Hampshire's race is among a handful that will decide control of the Senate for the final two years of President Barack Obama's term.
