Tuesday night, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost to a conservative tea party candidate in Virginia’s Republican primary. Cantor’s defeat immediately raised questions over whether he would resign his leadership position in the House. And on Wednesday, Cantor informed his fellow Republicans that he would indeed step down in a few weeks.
