Massachusetts House Speaker Bob Deleo unveiled an economic development bill today Tuesday designed to boost the tech sector. The bill sets up a potential clash with the governor, who proposed an economic development package in April.

“There were far more companies coming to see me that had a problem banning non competes than supporting them.  So on a numbers basis, there was a great disparity,” Wagner said.

Deleo also drops another part of the governor’s bill eliminating the cap on liquor licenses in communities around the state. The speaker's bill would leave liquor license decisions in the hands of state lawmakers.
