Boston Cardinal Sean O'Malley has agreed to a $100 bet with St. Louis Archbiship Robert J. Carlson — in the form of a charitable donation — that the Red Sox will win the World Series agains the St. Louis Cardinals.
Carlson proposed the bet, which stipulates that the losing archbishop makes the donation to Catholic Charities, according to the Boston Archidiocese.
Game 1 of the World Series between the Red Sox and the Cardinals starts Wednesday at 8:07 p.m.
