The list of declared Democratic candidates for governor of Massachusetts has grown by one.
State Treasurer Steven Grossman on Saturday announced his candidacy during the Democrats annual convention in Lowell.
Grossman said a top priority would be paid family leave for those forced out of work by sickness to themselves or a relative.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Martha Coakley said she's not ready to decide whether to run for governor. Her supporters turned out in force with signs outside the Tsongas Center, where the convention was held.
Previously declared candidates include Cape Cod state Senator Dan Wolf, Newton pediatrician Don Berwick and Joseph Avellone, a former Wellesley selectman.
Other possible candidates include U.S. Congressmen Michael Capuano and Stephen Lynch, Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone, state Environmental Secretary Richard Sullivan and Juliette Kayyem, former Massachusetts homeland security undersecretary.
