Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts is one of the largest Big Brothers, Big Sisters organizations in the country. But regardless of its size, the pandemic forced its mentorship online. Monik Mehta is an eight-year volunteer with the program. He says he and his little connected mostly through texting while social distancing. They both met up for the first time in over a year last week and had lots to talk about.
Terrance McCarron, the chief program officer for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts, says the program is even more crucial as kids begin recovering from a less than ideal school year.
Meantime, speaking of recovery, EforAll is a business accelerator organization that invests entirely in minority-owned and operated businesses, like Fusion Dolls. Owner Widline Pyrame shares how the pandemic inspired her to invest in her buisness full-time.
