Making Waves: The FCC is poised to vote next month to eliminate long-time rules governing media ownership. One part of the proposal would no longer require broadcasters to maintain a studio in the area where they have a license to transmit. FCC chairman Ajit Pai is also asking the FCC to eliminate the rule that bars one company from owning a newspaper and local broadcast station.
